Welcome to the Hurwi Business Blog

Welcome to the Hurwi Business Blog aka hurwibiz.com!
I have set up this weekly blog as a free resource to share business knowledge, simplify some complex business concepts and keep you up to date on the latest trends in the business world.

Why Blog?
Why spend hours of precious free time researching and writing a weekly blog for free you may ask…

  1. I love business, the inner working of businesses and anything related to business. The world’s relationship with businesses and how business affects the world is fascinating. I am doing the research anyway and may as well condense it and explain it.
  2.  Running a weekly blog will ensure that I am up to date with my personal research and will keep me on my toes.
  3.  I have been extremely fortunate to attend some very highly rated learning institutes, including my school, university and business school. I would like to share some of the knowledge I have gained from these places.
  4. I want to encourage people to learn more about the world, where they fit in and how to be the best that they can be at what whatever they are doing.
  5. There will be a blog posting on personal branding which will give some tips on developing your own personal brand. This blog is part of following my own advice

Who is this blog for?
I will speak about target markets in many future blogs. It is imperative that you concisely identify your target audience. In contrast to this, I do feel that the target audience for this blog is absolutely everyone. Discussions will mostly be from a South African point of view and there will be as a focus on concepts coming out of marketing, strategy, leadership and HR as this is my background. I do feel that these concepts can apply to skilled professional, employees, business owners, students and the unemployed. We do business everyday weather we know it or not. By reading this blog you will become aware of what business is going on around you and how to optimise it.

This is a new exciting journey for me and I hope it will become a valuable resource for you. I highly encourage comments and discussions on all the posts and please feel free to provide feedback.

Blog number one done.
